With a CD changer, onboard hard drive, dedicated iPod adapter and auxiliary and USB jacks at their disposal, Dodge representatives could have loaded whatever music they wanted into our seven-passenger 2009 Dodge Journey. We listened for "Faithfully," but Prince was cued up.

  • This crossover is AMAZING, i drove it a few days ago, the SXT. I loved it

  • I like the huge amount of functionality on this car. Stuff like all those storage compartments and the booster seat are nice touches, namely the latter.

  • Geez, how do you drive, that your brakes went in 6 months? I first changed my brakes after 2 years! This vehicle has had less problems, then my old Nissan Altima. That's right, the Japanese car needed two fuel pumps replaced, the window motor replaced, and my struts went all within 4 years. So don't believe that BS that imports are always superior mechanically. Consumer Reports never likes tom harp on import recalls, only American recalls are brought to the readers attention. They suck!

  • piece of crap, brakes are shit.within 6 months replaced rotors 4 times...wtf?

  • Looks nice! Too bad it's just a Dodge.

  • I had one as a rental for a week and this is hands down one of the worst vehicles I have ever driven.

The ride was buoyant, and motions were unsettled. When you hit a pothole you can feel the road imperfection quiver throughout the limp structure.

The radio is mounted so far down you have to take your eyes WAYYYY off the road to change settings that can't be done with the wheel controls.

The six cylinder feels weak, and is hardly faster than a four cylinder CR-V.

    I could go on forever.

  • I'm afraid they don't. Chrysler's fuzzy logic program in the TCM isn't common to other electronic transmissons aside from cars like BMW and Benz for example. The 4T60-E (the e standing for electronically controlled) didn't learn my driving style. It was just electronically actuated servos that engage rather than hydraulic actuated, which is mainly the only thing electronic transmissions in most cars do. Not ALL, very few, learn how YOU drive and adapt it's shift patterns and pressures to it.

  • @sideburns2009 Every electronically controlled transmission does that

  • the 3.5 is bulletproof

  • what reviewers fail to mention (or sometimes for the lack of knowledge) is that the dodge transmission (4 and 6 speed) adapt to how a person drives and change the way it shifts to their style. The upshifts will be smoother and downshifts will be quicker once it learns your driving/acceleration patterns.

  • I just got a one and I absolutely love it. I enjoy the handling and driving power of this vehicle. At least compared to the dying 2000 Taurus I traded in for it. It is a big improvement for me and our family. :)

  • most quiet engine in its class bitch
