Portal 2 Co Op Setup + Cheats

If you ever wanted to play Co Op mode on your computer alone or with a family member, this video and desc will show you how. I personally tested with my brother and alone.

Save it in "common/Portal2/cfg" folder.
To enable these settings (only need to do this once, try it after step 2)
type "exec coop_360.cfg" in the developer console.

Auto Config:
Create a file name "autoexec.cfg" to run commands when portal 2 first loads.

Switching Players:
If you want to play on one keyboard, you can set it up to switch players with a key. In the Developer's Console or the Auto Config type these lines
sv_cheats 1
BindToggle "z" in_forceuser

You can now use the Z key to switch players.

Cheat Codes:
Type it in the developer's consoles or Auto Config.

Changes speed of game, 0.1 = 10% of original game speed, 2 = twice the original game speed host_timescale # (default=1)
Changes view to first person firstperson
Changes view to third person thirdperson
Creates a Companion Cube ent_create_portal_companion_cube
Creates a reflector cube for lasers ent_create_portal_reflector_cube
Invincibility god
Lets you change the gravity in the game sv_gravity # (600=normal)
Lets you go through walls and fly around noclip
Place portals anywhere sv_portal_placement_never_fail # (1 or 0)
Player can take damage but won't die buddha
Shoots conversion gel out of your face ent_create_paint_bomb_portal
Shoots propulsion gel out of your face ent_create_paint_bomb_speed
Shoots repulsion gel out of your face ent_create_paint_bomb_jump
Shoots water out of your face ent_create_paint_bomb_erase
Shows FPS Rate cl_showfps 1
Turns Cheats on/off sv_cheats (0=off/1=on)
Turrets won't shoot at you notarget
change_portalgun_linkage_id # (0, 1, 2, 3)
Give Yourself or Upgrade Your Portal Gun -- Type: upgrade_portalgun
Give Yourself the Basic Portal Gun -- Type: give weapon_portalgun (Upgrade by typing: upgrade_portalgun)
Morph Storage Cube Into A Companion Cube (Must Target It First) -- Type: ent_fire !picker skin 1
Unlocks Flashlight -- Type: impulse 100
impulse 101 - get all weapons (Half Life 2 weapons also)

PROTIP TO PLAY WITH OTHER PEOPLE-

You need:

1) Hamachi (or some other LAN-based program that has a separate LAN server)

2) A friend

3) Portal 2 (obviously), dev console (shown in video), and the map list (description).

Steps:

1) Have your friend connect to your LAN-IP (given to you from Hamachi/{your program}).

2) After he does this (confirm he has), use the dev console:

map mp_coop_start

3) This will bring you to the lobby. Proceed with the game.
