June 28, 2006 -- Taken with my Canon PowerShot SD400 camera. The water was about 19 feet high when I shot this (its normal height is 3-4 feet in this stretch of the valley). The river's about 4 feet below the surface of the road at this end (normally about 15 feet above the river). My house is to the right, hidden by trees. As shown by the wet line on the bridge's pier, the water had dropped pretty fast.

  • Of course there's no details, it's a youtube video. :o That always kills the quality. --not sure what you meant about too fast, but the video was meant to show locals where the water level was like, which didn't translate well to a still photo.
