I've met many from around the globe and what I've learned is that the American stereotype is bullshit. I've met people from all over the world who act no different than "ugly americans" the only difference is they're not from a world super power. I'm not saying there aren't ugly americans, what I'm saying is that its not something that is exclusive to the US.

the stereotype never should have existed in the first place. people only seem to like us when the US gets a president that try's to go with public opinion or what the world says. how about whats right.

Yes, other countries have the "ugly" stereotypes. But, other countries always point their fingers to the USA when it comes to the stereotype because many Americans (not all, an English teacher of mine is an American and some of my Facebook friends are Americans) think they're the best in the world and those "ugly Americans" always turn themselves to the centre of attention.

That's why the "ugly people" stereotype is constantly associated with Americans.
