did someone realize that roddick's feet in 2003 or 2004(i thik this video is from one of those years) were very close, and from a couple years ago until now his feet are much more separate from each other?? did he really change his stance?

@phil2yoo im sure roddick will win some grandslams:P
-
@phil2yoo yeah i dont really like roddick but he deserved to win that 5 hour match with federer. roddick played with a lot of heart. i felt bad for him. i respected him after that.

so thats why his feet are so close together, he doesnt have to slide his backfoot in like a lot of the other players do, since his serve motion is a lot quicker (but still very very fluid) he doesnt have time to slide it in, it's already there to allow a great push of the legs
-
See how high he jumps in the air? It's not because he's so athletic, although it helps, it's because he gets very low and push with both legs.
This feature can be integrated to any pinpoint serve without any problem. So easy and obvious it seems dumb when explained.
He doesn't bring this pace from a magic button; he get it from his body and to knwo what happens later in the chain, you have to see how it starts, remember that.

There's key point in his foot stance which gives him full use of both his legs unlike about any other player in a pinpoint stance. Most pinpointers slide their back foot in. Andy places his foot, but doesn't slide his back foot.
This means the whole time he is on both feet. Look very carefulyl at his front foot. He even bring it back and to the side. Does it about 90% of time.
What we learn is the narrow stance resulting of his preparation allows a great leg push than most players.
