I love the shows, I love the channel, I'm a subscriber, but I must say... THE HOST TALKS WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH.
Time the amount the guests talk vs how much the host talks. My guess is that you'll want to cut host talking time by 80% or so.

Also: David is in a niche market with 37signals. There thousands of different niche markets that you could profit on with little to no competition.
When you are thinking big, as in creating the next Google Search/Facebook then everyone is after you. You have to be on top of your game at all times. The fail rate is probably 1000 times that of doing a niche product like 37signals. It also means working a TON of hours with little to no free time.
Is it worth it? To some yes, for others no.

They both have valid points. David likes to take less risk and focus more on real profit from day one (like any other real business) but at the same time build a scalable business, that in theory could grow to become large.
James on the other hand thinks bigger from the get-go but in going big there is also a much greater risk involved. The company may generate HUGE amounts of money but you also risk loosing a ton of money and time on nothing.
Risk vs reward. :)

One of my favorite TWIST episodes. I have spent time reading two different philosophies Gary Vaynerchuck's style of hustling vs 37 Signals way of doing things "underdo the competition", "fire the workaholics". I'm glad Jason hit some super important things. Great episode! Love TWIST!!! My favorite current podcast.

Hansson was real good.. I do wish Calacanis could unload that ego before he opens his mouth sometimes.. And where did the question 'are you a socialist David' come from!!??
