Red Shoe Pub in Mabou Cape Breton 2006 Piano by Doug MacPhee,Dwayne Cote is by far on of the most talented fiddle/violinist in the buisness. His Mastery of the bow is off the charts. Fun to watch. I had some great fiddle lessons with Dwayne. He makes it all seem so easy.Thats me hooting.(sorry I couldn't help it) Filmed by Sam Ruest

  • how is that he is the most underadvertised fiddler of his caliber and why does the promoters of cape breton not give him the fame he deserves... his life blood is his fiddle and he is the seed of cape breton... let him bloom to his full potential as cape bretons prime fiddler entertainer....

  • Well Spoken. He is without question a truly talented violinist. One of the reasons I posted this video of Dwayne is to show how talented he is. You need to see him in person. He blows you away. I am a true fan. Keep it going Dwayne.

  • @bigfessicajen this tune was played by Sean Mc Guire ...and perhaps Michael Coleman...it is not usual trad musical fayre. The player would appear to have a classcal training.

  • yes sr what a good feddle player

  • Too bad the bub was so noisy. I'd love to see a quiet copy of that. Thanks for posting!

  • Awesome stuff Dwayne! Hope to work with you in the future.

  • Absolutely wonderful !!

  • Dwayne Is one Talented Cat.

As Far As I'm Concerned, He Just May Be the Inspiration Tradition Was Anticipating. From The Banks, To The Kitchen,

And Well Beyond, I'm Sure His Name Will Not Be Forgoten.

  • I would love a copy of that.

  • It needs to be said that the Banks is only the first 1/4 of this video, the remainer is J. S. Skinner's Madam Neruda, named after Wilhelmina Neruda, a well known virtuoso violinist

  • Dwayne had a self produced tape with Doug MacPhee when he was 19. I have couple of copies

  • I am getting ready to learn how to play the fiddle, and if I can get to be half as good as you I will be extremely pleased with myself.. wonderful playing.
