  • My choir class is singing this song...and we're all intimidated by the speed :( such a beautiful song.

  • one female singer is really above in the first 10 seconds... ruins the whole song =(

  • i don't agree with the interpretation...but the singing is beyond superior...good job ~ ! :D

  • kissssssssssssssssssssing???

  • Yes, I agree with some of the above comments.

    - mic

    - possibly too harsh on "kissing"

    - opening unison a bit harsh.

    (etc.)

    Over-all I liked this performance.

(Below comments) - This is a show choir?

Yes, I can see how they are probably REALLY

    great as a show choir.

  • Regarding speed -

Cambridge Singers do it more "flowing".

    King Singers - faster.

18th Century? - Yes, (I read your comment) but remember, YOU are the musician.

The King Singers do a more masculine (yet

    lyrical) performance.

Cambridge - are just simply lovely and tell

    the story well.

Your performance was great, but slightly

    machine-gunnish.

  • OK - I'm not sure I agree with the interpretation, but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE everything else! You are getting a GREAT choral education! Good facial expression, vocal line, phrase, good

"message" (you "told the story"), and Frankly,

just your basic performance was EXCELLENT.

    I was moved.

    and Thank you.

    ( :

  • the tempo is fine. perhaps a click or two fast, but this should CERTAINLY not be performed slowly. that wouldn't be authentic performance practice for an english madrigal.

  • good performance, but not a very good interpretation English renaissance music. too much text painting. text painting wasn't used widely until the baroque period. it was sung very well however. allow the dynamics to imitate the melodic line, rather than having terraced dynamics. that comes a century or two later. :) and tenors, remember to stay high on the third at those authentic cadences! overall, great performance. i assume you recieved a I.

  • Cool!
