i'm pretty sure this trick is taken from a movie, can't remember the name but the story took place on a ship where a crappy guy played simultaneously chess with 2 grandmasters copying everything over just like Derren did here. And when someone from one games audience tried to go over to the other game, the entrance was prohibited.

Lol, i did something simliar to this with the chess on pogo, i download a chess and put it on hardest difficulty and play someone and see how the computer responds. Anyway for him to guess how many pieces were left was probably just to make it look more "magical" and probably staged just like criss angel
