@Izumakitori ... Their human names have nothing to do with the dubs. They've had human names since before Hetalia was a glimmer in FUNImation's eye. Ivan Braginski has been Russia's human name for a long time, and if I understand correctly, Himaruya gave them human names based on the demand of the FANS. Using nation names is awkward in fanfiction and other pieces, so the creator provided an alternative for us. They are supposed to be based on either historical figures or the most popular names.
