On the morning of 9/11 Dick Cheney was surprisingly in controll of NORAD. This is the first time in history a VP was incharge of the agency. That order has to come from the Pres or VP, unless they are out of the loop; then it goes to SecDef.

Who else would you expect to make that decision -- some jet-jockey?

Show me a timeline that says these flights were tracked on radar, since NORAD tapes show otherwise.

And there is no dispute at all over the critical issues -- when NORAD was notified of each plane, and where the interceptors were when they were scrambled (which was pretty damned fast after notification).

NORAD was not notified about Flt 77 until AFTER it hit the Pentagon, if I recall correctly.

Show us ANY report that indicates FAA or NORAD knew the location of Flt 77 before it was seen at Dulles.

@SpookMSgt This very interview with Mineta, states that Cheney was being notified of the approaching air threat. Thus, the air threats were being monitored by radar, despite transponders being turned off. NORAD isn;'t the only timeline to source. If NORAD was involved in a cover-up , then why would we rely only on their published transcripts, any more than rely on the 9/11 commission's (cover-up) report.

Mineta states that the flight heading for the Pentagon was being tracked and that information was being passed on to Cheney. That raises more questions than it answers. So I went looking into the timelines. why were air-force fighter jets not scrambled for a full 31 minutes after FAA lost transponder contact with Flight 77 at 8:36 AM? Radar? Pentagon was hit at 9:41 AM .
