It wasnt the first goal at McDairmid, this was Airdrie's second visit that season, they in fact were the first visiting team to win at St Johnstone's new ground when Tom McAdam scored the winner the previous October(?). This match was in effect the league decider although there were games after this, hence the crowd. Airdrie hardly won a game after this.

i also wasnt aware Stevie Gray had died, he was great to watch, although what a wasted talent

ALTHOUGH WE ENDED UP GETTIN BEAT 3-1 IT WAS STILL ONE OF THE BEST MEMORIES FOR ME, I CANT THINK OF ANY OTHER AIRDRIE GAME WHERE WE GOT BEAT AND GETTING INTO MY TOP 10
