A short presentation on the most endangered animal in the world, the Vietnamese rhinoceros. It occurs only in Cat Tien National Park. Declared extinct over 60 years ago, the arrest of a hunter in 1988 with a poached specimen proved us wrong. Although a reserve was established, the population has since dwindled and it's habitat shrank by 85%. It is still under severe threat which recently became blatantly obvious when another animal was found dead and robbed of it's horn on 29 April 2010 inside it's reserve.

The most effective way to help you Anna is by giving you advice. Jail the buyers for buying such exotic items such as rhino horns then there will be no demand for rhino horns. Jail the poachers for killing it in the first place.

this is not a seperate species, this is the JAVAN Rhino, that once roamed South Ease Asia all over but is not restricted to what once was thought to be the Island of Java but a few animals were discovered in Vietnam.
