Aztec Fire Crew cleans up Los Angeles River

The AZTECS RISING, a Los Angeles community group,
is helping troubled people to get their life in order as members of the AZTEC FIRE CREW. Fighting wild fires or doing community work like cleaning the Los Angeles river from debrit.

It seems like their heart is in the right place but I'm not sure what good clearing vegetation out of the LA river is doing. The litter yes, but a build up of vegetation would only have a positive effect on any creatures that might like to live there as well as the slowing down and filtrating the water in the river. It may not be a lot but that totally artificial river could do with all of the natural goodness possible.

i think enrique is a big liar and give all of these members hope but on the end he takes everything from them ...My self used to be a memeber of fromt country crew and he took all my dream away from me by putting everyone agaist me because im from los angeles ...even tho he is an ex gang memebr and still goes back to his hood and does even takes care of his own kids

Its great you are cleaning up the river but all those plants you just removed will come back for sure. You need to remove the roots.
