Without more Bible prophecy unfolding I could not be a Harold Camping and predict a date of the 2nd Coming and resurrection of the saints.

John 16:13 discuses how the Spirit tells us "what is yet to come". Isa. 46:10 talks of how Scripture tells us the beginning from the end (see Amos 3:7).

1,260 days from the abomination Christ returns. 2,300 days from tribulation temple sacrifice Jesus reconsecrated the temple. Ps. 46- He comes at the break of day (The Bright Morning Star)

The Bible speaks about a Second Exodus that WILL be greater than the first. If I'm around during The Tribulation, I plan on preaching the gospel throughout The Tribulation. Having a refuge as a base along with networking with other refuges will facilitate the spread of The Gospel through times of severe persecution.

I agree with your comment on needs. I'm depleted all my retirement accounts and sold most of my possessions with God's leading.

Yes, they did help the poor.

Their pooled moneys helped with the severe persecution that was ahead. They could buy food and other essentials, as they were dispersed.

The majority of Christians do not die in the Tribulation. Rev. 7:9-16 discusses the "great multitude" which have "come out of the great tribulation". Notice that their is now reference to matyrdom. Verse 16, "Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The son will not beat on them,..

Poor people will be helped by those with money.

Do you remember the early Church and how they pooled their resources? That is happening today.

10% of the Church today (those who are persecuted) have places of refuge. A place of refuge helps to enable survival for the persecuted Church. They are not any less of Christian for having this. They have faith in God and are prepared to die.

God is calling me to submit in this way.

What did the early Church do before the persecution intensified? They depended on God.

They sold property and pooled assets for the mutual benefit of surviving the persecution.

Are we to throw our spiritual discernment out the window?

Noah did not sit on his hands and have blind faith that God would pluck him out of the flood waters. He built an ark.

We are leading the sheep to slaughter!

It's not selfish to prepare physically for persecution.

We will benefit others.
