Can somebody help me out here who has played this game? :)

Right, here is my problem, about 6 months ago i went out and got gothic 3, played it and really enjoyed it, until the "Where is the guru?" error message came up, i have been on the G3 forums and people suggest various answers that i really cant be bothered doing to be quite honest, so I was wondering, is it worth getting this game? is it REALLY good? and does it have annoying error messages come up halfway through playing? Thanks :)

well thats a matter of opinion, I highly reccommend it but its nothing like gothic 3, the combat system is very strange in gothic 2 from what you are most likly used to but given time its far superior

@GTXMAN I would say yes, of course - however gothic 3 is bigger and does has its charm, though its a very different combat system the games at heart are the same - you cant go wrong but if you have a less powerful computer I say try gothic 2

Well, of course. Gothic 2 is basically the peak of good action-adventure-roleplaying games!

I even like Gothic 2's graphics more than the ones from Gothic 3. They are just more detailed and.. just - more simple, not so complex. Not that extra stuff you don't need!

Okay, Gothic 2 has no multiple AA or Bloom but the world itself is just so detailed, every grassblade is placed perfectly on the ground, that's the difference. I miss that in Gothic 3, not speaking of story, fighting and guilds ...

@lencycler1 Europe? "The Isle of Khorinis" with "orcs" and a "divine amulet" doesn't sound very European to me, not at all.

I had to stop playing because of the American dialect in medieval Europe. Drove me crazy....otherwise could have been a decent game.

Epic game.I spend days and days playing this game,and i still want to play it.I've also played NotR mod which has an amazing environment. Now I'm waiting for the next mod called The Legend of Ahssun.
