  • You gotta be kidding me. I am the Manager of a employee based contracting company and have been in every system Comcast, Charter and TWC and in every system my techs run circles around in house.. My techs are busy cleaning up inhouses shit work and bringing every house up to spec and it ruins their day.. Every day something new to clean up...

  • Fellow Techs, I've been both inhouse and a contractor, and worked in the business for 14 years, and I've seen bad/good from both sides. It doesn't matter which side, but each person's work ethic. I believe one thing both sides will agree to, is that they have been used and abused by the big cable companies that rush them all day long, make them late to appointments, and pay them a fraction of what the job is worth, considering the dangers involved, and all the b.s you have to put up with.

  • WTF! 2:10 looks like a chicken or is it roadrunner "mee mee"

  • @wesburgan yeah bonding to gas was pretty stupid and most likely the individual didn't care or wasn't trained properly, I watched guys come and go because of things like that or they didn't even ground at all which resulted in a customers computer getting fried from the main line being struck by lightening, almost caught the house on fire. Another guy wanted to be a pencil pusher. And then you have those customers who make it hard on you because of what they did. LOL

  • @tech4131 Btw, sorry to hear about your back problems and job situation. I am now in my second year of unemployment after back problems, and the cable co. I worked for has been fighting my unemployment benefits since I registered for them. I worked almost 12 years for them, and helped make thousands of customers happy and made them tons of money, and they don't even want to show 6 months worth of appreciation. But that is part of the inherent evil of big businesses. Use/abuse you and F U!

  • @tech4131 Thank you for responding to my post. It is too bad, but it seems like most people like to point fingers at one side or another (inhouse vs. contract) instead of directing any blame to the ones that deserve it the most...the companys. Maybe the workers that did the awful work in the videos want to do good work, but the company did not provide them with enough time or the help needed throughout the day to make sure everything could be done properly. Bonding to gas was just retarded

  • @wesburgan Brother I agree with you, both sides, not one better than the other. I feel if you take pride in your work it shows, end of story. I also agree about being used and abused by the cable companies, I am one of those people who ended up hurt and had back surgery due to that crap and now out of work for over 4 yrs and we for sure didn't get paid what we should have.

  • I worked for Mastec as a phone cable splicer. You cable guys have it easy!

  • @scooterss2112 I would at Comcast inhouse. They must work for some ma and pa company if you only make $9.50/hr and our turnover rate is very very low for about the past five years!

  • I been Cable Guy for 4 years.. and I can tell you most of these fuckups are done by customers with half-brain. .. no cable guy thats trained properly will ever do any thing like that..

  • Damn you retards, haven't you heard of banana cutters

  • @scooterss2112 looks like shit though, dangerous or not. Its poor work. didn't I see some black charred siding that looked kind of burnt? guess thats not dangerous.
