"She said, She said" is a Lennon/McCartney song that appeared on the Beatles "Revolver" LP/CD.
In this desktop recording, I play all instruments (or punch keys) using "Garageband" software on an iMac.
Guitars and voiced are recorded via the built-in mike of the Mac, the bass was punched in using the computer keyboard (the kepads double as midi-keyboard keys), drums (basic track as well as fills) and percussion (shaker and tambourine) are samples that come with Garage-band.
I first put down the drum track, then one of the guitars, then both vocal tracks, then the second guitar. The guitar tracks I could "cut and paste" to later parts of the song, as in fact, I recorded the song in various sections. Second-to last came the bass track, which was a bit tricky as the small computer keybard is not really a full keyboard, nor of course a bass-guitar, but it can control various instrument sounds and this particular bass sound is quite nice, I think. There are two vocal tracks. Only in the outro I added a third harmony. Last I added some drum fills, and percussion as from the first chorus ("she said you don't understand..").
Last step in Garageband is to pan the instruments to right and left channels, and I also changed the character of the guitarsound via a built-in settings, as I recorded the two guitars tracks with an acoustic guitar. That is really one of the impressive features I like in Garageband.
This is not perfect, but I hope you enjoy it.
Someday I might perform this with my real band..
Can't say I like the vocals at all...very very ragged and out of tune. The instrument tracks sound pretty good though! One thing: On the line that ends each verse "Cuz you're making me feel like I never..." the pattern of the drum and bass should change up. Ringo and Paul played a hemiola here, with triplets on beats 1 and 3.
