Art of War® Fighting Championship 9
FISTS OF FURY
November 24, 2007
Beijing, China.

This 66kg bout pairs Nemat Bobomuhamedov (2-0-0) of Uzbekistan versus Yang Jian Ping (2-1-1) of China.

Nemat Bobomuhamedov thoroughly destroyed his last opponent, Li Ming, in AOW8. Bobomuhamedov is a former Uzbek Muay Thai champion and Asian WAKO kickboxing champion. He also has extensive training in judo and sambo. His strength and aggressiveness make him a dangerous opponent.

Yang Jian Ping is a Sanshou practitioner with 4 fights in the Art of War® ring. Yang Jian Ping is coming off a victory against Japanese jiu-jitsu expert, Setsuma Takeda, in AOW6. Yang Jian Ping is fast and explosive, and his improving ground skills make him one of China's fastest rising MMA fighters.

Established in 2004, the Art of War® Fighting Championship is Mainland China's first and only professional MMA organization sanctioned by China's central sports administration and features China's top mixed martial arts athletes.

  • For those who were confused by the ending, at 4:40, Yang Jian Ping delivers a kick to Nemat's ribs which drops him to the canvas. Nemat taps immediately, but the referee misses the tap. The head judge outside the ring sees the tap and blows the whistle, ending the match. Yang Jian Ping wins by TAPOUT.

  • Talent has nothing to do with the out physical appearance of a fighter rather he physical abilty to fight and win is more important. How many times we see this so called "Out of shape White guys" such as Fedor defeat a well muscled fighter? all the time... this is fighting, not bodybuilding...

  • yeah, he could break the whole earth, even the whole universe... LOL! you speak of heavyweights against these lightweights... how about cung le breaking shamrock's arm? have you seen this?
