Good solid traditional version of the old tune, influenced in parts by the playing of Mike Compton.

In my opinion, the best recorded version of this tune is off of the great banjoist Butch Robins' Grounded Centered Focused. Performing on that cut in addition to Butch are Mike Compton, David Grier, Jimmy Campbell and Mike Bub. Essential listening.

The mandolin is a 1995 Paul Duff F5. X-braced, varnish finish, Waverly tuners

Standard tuning for a guitar is by fourths, whereas mandolin standard tuning is by fifths. So the only string on which they have the same tabs is the high E.
