@aninhadorta - My children are singing this song in elementary school and were told it means "this man fights like a bull". I researched it online and it is more likely the meaning is a bit bawdy as Maori infantrymen sang it in the trenches in Italy during WWII, and seemed to be likening themselves to bulls ready for love. Either way the tune is catchy an loved worldwide.
