on the 12/13th of march the north norfolk railway held it's anual spring steam gala. this year the special guests were GWR pannier tank no. L99 (7715) from the buckinghamshire railway centre, 3717 city of truro visiting for the first time in it's later livery, J72 no. 69023 from NYMR/NELPG & LMS Jinty 47406 from the Great Central Railway. from the home fleet were (on long term hire) GWR 56XX tank no. 5619, J15 no. 65462 & hunslet no. 1982 Ring Haw which was weybourne station pilot/cover engine incase of breakdown. Ring Haw eventually came out into full passenger service when L99 failed at just after mid day. besides this and the timetable running up to but no more than 30 minutes late at any point of the day and missing a rouge connection at sheringham it was a brilliant day out. check out my website for more @ http://jules46443.weebly.com/
9 times out of ten the galas fall behind by 30 mins or so.. but it is still a fantastic event that they put on... roll on september!!
