Egypt lived for years under a repressive government. Apparently it wasn't until facebook that the people could come together and organize under a united voice. The American voice is currently divided up similarly, but the level of deception is arguably more subtle. Americans have to somehow square its historical image as a 'beacon of freedom' with the incremental degradation of that image currently happening. When which side to fight for is muddled, it makes it more difficult to unify.
