  • Hermann Prey MIRACOLOSO!!!!!!!!

  • At last! At long last!!! Mahler at his best!!! And Hermann Prey at his best!!!

If my memory serves me well, although that is not in the DVD edition I own, at the end of this concert Bernstein threw himself to Prey's arms, so thrilled he felt with his performance!

  • I think Jose Van dam is brilliant too here and what can i say about bernstein : he's mahler spiritual son in some way :) !!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful performance

  • Although I never rated him as my favourite baritone, I was always astounded by his sheer musicality in certain roles. And he always looks so jovial...it's contagious...

  • 1:31-1:37 He was a bit excited there. :D Can't blame him though, it's pretty exciting stuff.

  • I know that If I were Bernstein I would throw myselt into Prey´s arms after singing like that.

Hermann Prey is also one of the soloist in Eliahu Inbal´s Mahler cycle of complete symphonies. He is in his late 50´s but still has an amazing voice. Worth listening to it!!

  • Thank you so much!
