The Time Sniper

(A mismash of the Terminator and Doom). A short film about a sniper bot sent back in time to eliminate a Brotherhood of Legion member named John Titor. The bot serves the interests of The Omnicorp, a computer human hybrid neural network. The Brotherhood of Legion are a militaristic time travelling cult comprised of humans who are determined to wipe out The Omnicorp and install a demonic race of aliens as the new overseers of humanity.

The Omnicorp, originally developed by the Omni corporation was initially as a network for the storage of human minds. As more humans downloaded their consciousnesses into the network the preservation of storage space became paramount. Therefore facets of personalities were selected and amalgamated into a gestalt entity. Owing to its commercial routes personality traits were selected which favoured profiteering and the efficient use of resources. Thus the Omnicorp emerged as the ultimate capitalist machine in addition to being a new type of human, albeit a bio mechanical construct.

Under the presumption that it was more highly evolved than ordinary humans, The Omnicorp enslaved the remaining humans who had refused to download their minds. They were used to gather resources for it so as to assist it in its experiments and in its bid to become the dominant power in the galaxy where it competed against other alien neural nets which had evolved in a similar fashion.

However Omnicorp's relentless quest for profit resulted in it experimenting with interdimensional and time travelling technologies which unleashed aliens from a hellish dimension into our universe. These aliens were experimented on yet they were difficult to contain and represented a persistent threat to the Omnicorp, which remained the stronger power. A warlike sect developed among the humans which supported the aliens against their common enemy and so began a guerilla war across time and dimensions to destroy The Omnicorp.
