In this video I give a full in depth tour of Chevrolet's newest extended range electric vehicle, the Chevrolet Volt. Introduced as a 2011 model in the northern states, the 2012 has a few minor quality and feature improvements. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. Take it on a thorough test drive through the city during the day as well as night time. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Thanks a lot to Hendrick Chevrolet Cadillac in Monroe, NC for allowing me to make this video! For more information on this vehicle as well as others, visit www.hendrickchevy.com

  • What a piece of shit ecocar, looks like shit, drives like shit, probably smells like shit too because of the battery's.

  • Its a shame this car cost so much.

  • @JekHawkins yeah the leaf is pretty disgusting looking. but the volt is so nice they are making a caddy version of it! check out the ELR

  • Intriguing! I saw this and the Leaf at the Orlando Auto Show back in Nov. Given a choice, I'd have the Volt, no question.

  • This is actually good.

  • cant wait for the aussie holden volt :P

  • @hottdylan1993 I'd like to see the Prius go 3,000+ miles on 7 gallons of gas. It is not the same car, not even basically. The Volt is the first car of it's type in the world. The Fisker Karma was the second to come out with this technology.

  • @nokia5223 I don't care if he doesn't like it. It's on warranty. If he doesn't like it, he can quit! BTW, if you go 1,000 miles without using the gas generator, it runs for about 3 minutes to pull a self maintenance. The car gives you a message and you can not turn it off. That has happened to me twice out of the 3,100+ miles I have driven the car. 7 gals. of gas used total. The oil only has to be changed every 7,500 mi. on the generator. There are very few moving parts on the EV motors.

  • @nokia5223 I don't own one of these, but I feel like as a mechanic it's your job to fix my shit, no matter how much of a pain it is. That's why I'm paying you. And if you really hate it so much, I'm fine with going somewhere else to spare you the trouble and to spare me from having to listen to your complaining.

  • It's very efficient because on the electric motor there is only one moving part.
