It seems obvious that such a scene would be cut because it paints one of the ruling parties as harmful. Of course similar stories can be found in every corner of Lebanon with common folk painting other militias in the same light. With so many layers of violence, how does one begin to reconcile? Can one side be told without the dozens of others being told as well? Above all, is reconciliation possible when those who conducted the war are still in power?

Is it possible to order the complete movie from somewhere? I just missed the screening in Berlin... the DVD is not out yet, so it looks like I have to wait, right?

Hey Simon,
I can't believe they cut this scene. I am sorry for the status that freedom of speech has in Libanon. It's a shame.
