How very charitable of you. One of the other contestants spotted it and charitably (not unlike yourself) presumed I saw it (which I didn't because I definitely would have tried it) and didn't risk it. Ah well, as you typed, it didn't cost me in this game.

To be fair, by the time you missed that you'd built up such a dominant lead in the game that it could have been a case of losing the tiniest bit of focus, which is the easiest thing to do. And short of a contestant the calibre of Julian F, Conor T or Craig B entering, I don't see it making the difference between you being the number 1 & number 2 seed.
Also, I think if this had been in a later round against someone like Michael McDonald-Cooper then you would have very likely spotted the word.
