  • I think the fear is that because most artists are at the top for a short time, by the time you renegotiate, the party is over.

  • I've been watching AHM a while now, and a lot of the times I feel like I've been given the advice from a marketing agent, though her opinion about artist contracts is what I like to call authentic. I (having little experience in the record industry) think that her way is the right kind of attitude you want with an artist (at least, an artist who is really an artist).

    In any case, I think a lot comes down to being hones with whom you're working with, and honesty is not always on a piece of paper.
