Rev. Helm was a man of God whom truely walked his talk. Not only did he preach self-denial and following God at all cost, but he lead by example of what discipleship really means. Rev. Helm loved Jesus with all his heart and was one of the most compassionate men I have ever been privileged to meet. Generations to come will reap the blessing of his obiendence to surrender to God!

I knew this guy during his last few years in Muncie. I used to serve him steaks and his wife liked very hot soup. I knew many of his people and I knew some of the ways in which he affected the community in which I lived during college. Even those with whom his life intersected only peripherally, like me, have been personally affected by his legacy. Beyond that I will say no more.
