Texas DPS State Troopers take out a semi truck that was not stopping after a 3 hour chase through 3 counties. They took over the chase after the truck left the city limits of Fort Worth where it was safer to stop it. The female driver was a hostage being held at gun point by a male. The female driver was not involved and was being forced at gun point to drive. This is from the live news footage from WFAA and was also seen on Dallas Swat S2 E15. No one was injured during this chase and later stand-off. Both Texas DPS and Dallas SWAT did a good job putting this situation to an end safely.

Music: Texas Time - By: Jeremy Sherman

Video was taken from the live news 8 WFAA television broadcast. This is one of three news stations that covered the chase from helicopters.

  • 1st of all the troopers where probably rideing together because one of them was probbaly in training. 2nd I this this was on the show Dallas SWAT

  • @andrewjohnengelhart Absolutely incorrect. Texas Troopers were waiting for the truck to come in their direction on I-20 and already had the freeway shut down with many Troopers well ahead of the trucks arrival. There is no way TXDPS would put a trannie in a situation such as this either steering the car from the passenger seat or firing the weapon from the drivers seat. Their is noting to say that one officer parked his car, got into another to do this. Dallas SWAT did nothing, TXDPS stopped it

  • obviously these are rookies because the bullet could hit the tire and the tire could shoot the bullet to a different direction. dont tell me its not possible because i know someone who went to jail because of it

  • @STuRTzzMoNTaGeS The rookies blocked all the entrance ramps of the freeway. As other knowledgeable people have replied the officer and passenger in the car stopping the truck are NOT rookies. There was also a Texas DPS helicopter with one of their well trained snipers that was available as well, but they were able to use the experienced Troopers in a CVPI to stop the truck were Dallas SWAT could not. It was either going to be a 50-cal sniper rifle from a Helicopter or the car on the ground.

  • i live in ftw and remember this well... and wize you 100% correct my brother...

  • @andrewjohnengelhart you are so wrong about your facts... TXDPS always ride together.. and NO state trooper would NEVER shoot at a truck like that for fear that the bullets could hit them... so get your facts right...

  • oh and they didnt even stop they are still rolling

  • if i was in the rig i would run their stupid asses off the road fuck them i hate dps

  • They woulda shit if when they shot the tire, part of the tire came off and nailed their car. Was a good lookin T2000 though lol but it's drivers like this that give the rest of us truck drivers a bad name.

  • @ianmansfieldtv the power of mute

  • Troopers carry Sig 357 handguns, Bushmaster .223 Ar15, and Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun

  • Only agency authorized to shot from a moving vehicle in Texas is the DPS.

  • At the rate Texas executes. I would stop.
