It's now possible to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on all devices, even newer A5-based devices. This is a very easy jailbreak and works on both Mac & Windows. At the moment the windows version is not out yet but should be very soon This jailbreak will be implemented in Absinthe and Redsn0w and I will post links for both when they are all out so grab a copy down below. No this will not delete Anything! This jailbreak does not require a restore so everything will be saved! Do not worry about losing any contacts, photos, messages, etc..

TroubleShooting: -

If you get a white error message in the Absinthe Icon on your iDevice, go into Settings and select VPN ON and you should get a error pop up message then your iDevice will restart with Cydia on your springboard. If that does not happen then Rerun Absinthe and toggle VPN on again, it should work perfectly this time. If still it doesn't work, Go into Settings, General, Network, VPN and toggle it to "ON", then restart your iPhone and go into the "Absinthe" App and select "Jailbreak". This time everything will work perfectly.

If the "Jailbreak" Button is grayed out on Absinthe, you will need to make sure you restart your computer, make sure everything is updated and try opening it again. If still it does not work then wait for an update to Absinthe since this may not be a problem with your machine.

There's no need for a Windows tutorial, you just do the exact same thing, except with the Windows version.
