    How much are those DACs going for?

  • @whisk0r Sparkfun sells the breakout board for $5. I haven't priced the chips separately.

  • whisk0r Looked them up on digikey.com, they seem to be going for about $1.50 in quantity one. There are 4 different models, all in these tiny sot23 packages, each having a different I2C address.

  • It's really quite a simple project, it's mostly just electronics arts and crafts, but I'm learning a lot, and what's even more fun, I'm building stuff rather than just thinking about it. The more comfortable I get, the more sophisticated later projects can become.
