It's understandable that they are mad at the man for almost running over their fellow officer but it gives them no right to beat him after he got ejected from his car and was unconscious! The 5 police officers have been fired. Here is a discussion on CNN about it.

This worthless animal put countless lives at risk of death, not to mention attempted murder of a cop. These cops showed great restraint in not shooting his useless ass.

Whatever, fat ass cop didn't get out of the way fast enough after putting out spike traps and putting himself in danger knowingly when he ran out on the road like super man and when he took the job. The guy that was driving the car was totally lucky he wasn't conscious.
