"big brother is god" - funny approach!
to me it was always a symbol for social control
and system tyranny,- 1984 is quite straightforwart and literally meant i guess, not too much metaphor, besides the
televisor, room 101 and other exaggerations.
but then - is the televisor and torture an exaggeration or understatement???
people are spoiled and twisted by watching media in a way too terrible to confront it in the light of day IMHO
