Other than a sitational video I dare you to provide any documents of this and compare the last 15 - 20 years. I think Global crisis is hog wash. we do need to be aware of our impact on our environment but dont need to go off the "left" cliff.

I agree that this is a massive issue which is certainly not given nearly enough attention. I'm an environmental anthropology student. I really want to find out more. Get involved. Do some fieldwork and research. Help get the word out. Any advice on who to contact How to get involved?

i don't know wud da fuck is our gov't doing? all our congressmen are not doin n e fuckn thing about this.... Pohnpeian...! Stand up now! make a difference...

PS- Climatewitness, Pohnpei is actually North Pacific, not South since it lies above the equator. Just an FYI. Thanks for the video. More people world wide need to know about the plight of these smaller islands.

I was a Peace Corps Volunteer on Ta Island in the outer island of Chuuk and we had some tides that had actually flooded the school grounds... Nobody had seen the tide that far before. And, like Ben said, the taro patches are getting too much salt in them and ruining crops. Taro is a major source of food in all of Micronesia. Another problem for the outer islands is erosion... I'm not sure if the main islands are experiencing the the same issue here. Global warming has everything to do with it.
