In the senior fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2008, Edel Quinn of CCÉ Baile Eachaidh, Derry played the reel, "Farewell to Ireland". Edel took 2nd place in the Fiddle Slow Airs competition. She was recorded in Tullamore, Co. Offaly in August of 2008.

Jese edel, tink ye woulda tuned that double bass,, it's nat quite up ta pitch ther hi! Fair play for bein fitta hold it up like that for so long tho! I'd nvr hav notice thats wat ye wer playin cept 4 yer man gernin bout jazz!!

Excellent playing. You have very articulate ornaments and your bowed triplets are very snappy. I like the drive you have in this tune....all in your bowing. Good tone and projection. All in all a great performance. Keep at it.
