We were lucky enough to be sitting right in front of them. Julian plays a Gibson L-5 from the 30s I think. Gibson has reissued a 1934 L-5 on their web site. You might also want to check out the Music Link Loar models.

Ah yes! I thought someone might ask about that. This was the point where they began "Caravan" - I'll get that up very soon. The only problem with "Caravan" is that close to the end of it, my camcorder battery died - it's still pretty good though...

@uburoibob I might add that both guitars were being played acoustically. Just mics.  The sound was very clear - it helped that it was a good sounding room.

I just bought Julian's album on iTunes. Please, do yourself a favor and buy it. This guy is genius.

As much as I hear about how revolutionary the Parker archtops are, and indeed Vignola sounds fabulous on this instrument, the more I'm struck that Julian is making essentially the same sounds and using the same techniques on his '32 L-5. Which proves, really, that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I'll take the L-5, thanks!
