Is there a vertical offset added on the blocks based on the intensity/color of each? If there was, it was a nice idea but it only made the visualzation harder to understand. :(
What about toying with opacitiy?

Thanks for commenting. I was not pleased with the compression YouTube put on the video after I uploaded it, either ...but since this piece is one of many going on a DVD I'm making, I decided to put off testing different forms of video compression on my end until the rest of the DVD is put together.
