This is an introduction to the Cisco NX-OS Operating System. Cisco NX-OS is a data center-class operating system built with modularity, resiliency, and serviceability at its foundation. Drawing on its Cisco IOS and Cisco SAN-OS heritage, Cisco NX-OS helps ensure continuous availability and sets the standard for mission-critical data center environments. The self-healing and highly modular design of Cisco NX-OS makes zero-service-disruption operations a reality and enables exceptional operational flexibility.

@TheElectricRider It is an OS, that runs in Cisco switches, which manage high speed network connections. You cant install it on a PC or server. It doesnt have a graphical user interface, only way to access it is remotely through that console window. Those switches are used as example between the servers that run Facebook, and their storage, etc...

@TheElectricRider @ You do realize NX-OS is a Cisco operating system, right? The people to whom this video is geared understand what the author is saying and don't need further explanation. No, it doesn't run Firefox. Mission critical data center environment = data center that needs to be up 100% of the time. The desktop user doesn't even need to know it exists. The desktop is from the author's PC. Not, it's not a server. If you think it looks cryptic then this video probably isn't for you.

Yeah. but will it run Firefox? Your info above - data center class - does that mean it's a server? Cisco NX-OS helps ensure continuous availability - of what exactly? sets standard for mission critical data center environments- what? Can you translate to English? what dies that mean for a normal desktop user? Now, in English.. what does it do besides sit there looking cryptic? It looks like it might have a nice desktop under that terminal window.. why not show that off? Run some programs.
