I agree. WTF is up with some people. This guy truly seems like he's trying to help his family. We're all about this close to losing it all. All it takes is one loss of a job, combined with a health issue and it's over. My wife is diabetic and has had a kidney transplant. Her medicines are horribly expensive (thousands a month). I lose my job, she's probably dead. And this from such a Christian-faithed country that is trying to show the world how compassionate and great we are.

Propaganda or not... this breaks my heart!!! Why on Earth would u think that these people are faking it?
Many are laid off and have no jobs. Foreclosure is happening everywhere and thousands and more of houses are deserted and trashed with left behind items after the residents kicked out.
If even a basic necessity like good health is not even maintained, what would differentiate America with other underdeveloped nations out there?
Uhhh... it is disgusting what people have become nowadays!

Oh, and I hope none of you EVER have to go through illness without health insurance coverage. But maybe that's what's needed to make some people realize just how fortunate they are to be able to afford such a "luxury".

Bullshit. There is COBRA and the government right now is paying and extending 65% of the cost. Moreover, have you asked? Churches, people? I would help your family, I've done it many times before. If you are making some sort of treasonous statement for socialism, take a hike... though I will still help you because you are a human being.... but it will be my choice, not the government forcing me to do it.

I feel bad for this family, but one thing is that people in these situations should get educated or research on their own about ways to get medication or treatment.
There is medicare, medicaid, community health clinics that offer medications, medicine assistance programs, if you lose your job there is COBRA, proper savings... are you saving on average 3-6 months of your salary per year for emergency???
What the hell is wrong with all of the people who have commented on this video? Have none of them been personally affected by the economy or had to rely on our "safety net?" This woman has diabetes and has been without insulin for over 24 hours! Diabetes is a serious, potentially life-threatening condition. Making her go through these hoops for basic medical care is an atrocity. And what lesson are these kids learning from watching their parents go through this? I wish them all the best!

Some of the comments here make me sick. I think if this guy was a "lazy ass" he would've left his wife and three kids long before the going got rough. Oh, and let's see, I'm sure he would have been out that day looking for a job, however, he was busy being a "lazy ass" watching and taking care of his kids while his wife was at a resource center waiting for 9 hours to get insulin. Real Lazy. The lack of compassion some of you have is astounding and disgusting.
