Fallout: New Vegas - Deathclaw Pro Hunter Achievement Challenge Only

It's the Mothers and Alphas that yr after - at Dead Wind Cavern, East of the Powder Gangers, they respawn every few days.
Stats needed to do it with the switchblade, that I used, are these:
100 Sneak; 90 Melee
Perks that are useful are Purifier, Cowboy, Stonewall, and Ninja along with the ones like Lord Death and Abominable that you get from playing.
Boone's hat and Joshua Graham's armour give extra criticals (If you wear anything but Light Armour, you'll probably be spotted by the regular Deathclaws, even with 100 sneak and a Stealthboy) and I used Auto-Inject Stimpacks along with hotkeying (Super) Stimpacks, Psycho, Slasher, Med-X, Jet and Rocket and Power Armour for the Mother - she isn't so blind and always seems to spot me...

Thanks for this info, was wondering why all deathclaws where not counting, has to be adults. Nice vid, but can't help to notice, is your character meant to look like Chuck Norris, cause he kinda does lol :)

@natoli22 Ha! Yea I never noticed that - must be the cool glasses and beard along with the determined, "tits or gtfo" look on his face ;)

If my parents are adults then I must be a juvenile and the kids today are definitely young. Therefore, I guess it stands to reason that it's only mothers and alphas that are adults.

However, if you haven't cleared out the whole area yet, all of them count at quarry junction! :O

You should really just weaken it with a weapon and then kill it with Dynamite via VATS on Very Easy.

@214CIceCar Weaken it and then kill with dynamite on very easy? That's the sissy's way of doing it - where's the challenge in that? I died a lot making this video and had some great laughs with the guys I was playing with.

If we did what you said, it wouldn't have been fun and we'd've felt like wimpy little faggoty-anne pussies instead of the hardcore and exceedingly macho, not at all queer, Professional Deathclaw hunters that we are :P

tehsaccade: I've been killing Deathclaw's on all possible locations, with the dynamite , when I reach 4/5.. the fifth bitch I kill won't be added to the challenge : /

but I will try a few more times..

@TehSaccade Did I ever say that was for everyone or it was supposed to be challenge? No. This is just for those who want the achievement easy.

I've done it a couple of times with the Recharger Pistol on Hard though. Had to use a lot of stimpaks. :/

@214CIceCar Dude - did you not just watch me killing every single Deathclaw in Deadwind Cavern, and only get the +1 for the Mother? The ones at the unmarked Deathclaw Promontory do count, also.

@DrakoGigante You have to kill Deathclaws within a certain few areas. Quarry Junction and Deadwind Cavern Deathclaws count, Deathclaws at the Promonotory and Gypsum Trainyard for example, do not.

Try killing the ones at Dead Wind Cavern or Quarry Junction.
