@truckdawg43 I'd like big government to dust off the guillotine and put a few dozen wall street speculators and oligarchs to death. throw in all the lawyers who signed the AAA rated bonds for Moody's, the ones that bankrupted local economies around the world and erased 40% of global capital. In 1970 there was PR campaign that laid the ground work for all of financial problems we have had from 1975 to now. It was the statement that the private sector can do it better then the government sector and for the government to stop regulating and deregulate get the government nose out of private sector. Every one was saying it. It made no sense then and it makes no sense now.

@samten10a Well said: laissez faire fundamentalism is a loser's economic model when measured by its own stated goals. Since 1981 there is not 1 year a repub pro-free market president proposed a budget that resulted in the reduction of the federal debt when compared to GDP. Ironically Clinton was the last 1 to actually try & make free market capitalism work in reality in a way that could have been sold to the middle class of the world. You can't find serious supporters anywhere today thanks 2 W!

The idea that now the government and all its good intentions should now have the power to make the decisions for you. What you should buy and shouldn't buy, how much you should barrow, and shouldn't barrow, the idea is premised that a few intellectual elite can run your lives better then you. lets look at that old document, you know the one that says "We the People' not "We the Government".

@einhverfr Thats how it was supposed to be .I am sure you have read the constitution aren't state rights supposed to be over the Fed NOT the other way around .Too early on we gave the Gov too much power over us .We had the depression and everybody freaked and ran to the Fed .Thus the regulation taxation .When this last fiasco happend same same .Banks used to be small owned pretty much by the people who had money in them .Then bank robbers on both sides of the law succeeded in making it Fed

@madashelldude Well then they would have to make up a bureau to check the blade .One to check the rope and its tensile .OSHA will have to check the building of the structure .There will have to be building permits ,survey's ,EPA will have to do soil sample's ,it will have to be oked by the unions God forbid there should be overtime thats a whole different monkey.Then there is afterward you have to make sure the executioner is okie dokie with his lot in life ,head help for who ever saw it
