Ghost misses NOTHING, man. This is as good as any movie or book. Strong lyrics notwithstanding, this could be used as a reading passage to teach students about descriptive essays and how to craft an effective story. Can you imagine this on an SAT exam or a standardized exam? I'd love it.
You put it perfectly. Ghost is like a good short story writer. I cannot even think of anyone to compare him with. The level of intelligence exhibited in his rhymes is almost unrivaled. I'd put Doom, Slick Rick, and maybe Aesop Rock near or with Ghost. That's about it though.
