@mblm20042003 It's not my intention to make you acknowledge that Lindros was far better than Brendan but obviously the facts are that Lindros' pts/gm average was out of Brandan's reach and I'd like to emphasize that I'm talking about 90s before Lindros started to be headhunted.After that he wasn't able to play his game as everybody knows.Lindros wasn't protected so he had to take care of business for himself and HIS TEAMMATES.Players couldn't stand the fact that Lindros couldn't be stopped.

@88BigEtrain Yeah im the silly one. Lindros got headhunted because he threw his body around with reckless abandon and he paid the price i.e. his problem. I dont get whats so confusing about that. You wanna play around with scott stevens thats your fault. I tire of this argument so unless you have some secret info as to why lindros was better than shanny, im sticking with my original claim. Shanny was the best power forward of that era.

@mblm20042003 Yep,exactly.Commercials and other promotional stuff by the NHL that was done in 90s,everything included Lindros.Wake up and admit it,if you,of course,have courage,are fair and just.Shanahan was nowhere to be found.You're simply silly.Nobody,in their right mind,would put Shanahan beside Lindros in dominance.His problem being headhunted?You lost me on that one.Stanley cups are won by anybody who is on the right team,at the right time,in the right place.

You're starting to lose me. lindros being headhunted sounds like a lindros problem. if you dont think a HOF like shanny deserves to be atleast mentioned then we'll just agree to disagree. I seen both of them fight alot of the same guys and i didn't see that much of a difference. Both of them in alot of the same allstar games. Shanahan with alot more stanley cups, and alot longer of a career.

@mblm20042003 Shanahan was a terrific player,no doubt.But putting him in the same category with Lindros......no way.You wouldn't hear a peep about him on daily ESPN or other major sports channels because he simply wasn't worth mentioning.Before starting to be headhunted,Lindros was 4th ever in pts/gm playing with just decent players around him,leaving Shanahan in the smoke of dust from that pace.That being said,Lindros was the greatest player before headhunters started taking their turns.

@88BigEtrain Well Shanahan was the LW on the first line of a stanley cup champion 3 times, among many other accomplishments.
