I agree with you partially. Brian's loss was definately heard. But, for a few years, Mick Taylor did an excellent job with albums like Let It Bleed. However, I believe the Stones "died" when Mick's voice got thrashed over the years.

Yes, the Stones are the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world.
And we can say they presumably will always be the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world...
What would we do without Keefy ?

@jokowwenna You're right, the Stones didn't die when Brian did,and subsequently released some great albums. But when you take such a musical genius out of the equation,a big hole emerges.Mick Taylor was a brilliant guitarist and certainly did the technical job but Brian was the founder and soul of the band, and things could never be quite the same again. My teen years were spent worshipping the Stones and,to my mind, their unique magic has never been equalled.I wish I could re-live the 60's!!

Thanks to one of the greatest fan of the Stones (Martin Scorsese) and his amazing movie (Mean Streets) I came to know this song, now I can't get it out of my head... I love it!
