I wonder if the venue supplied complimentary barf bags with each ticket? I mean, this is some of the crappiest music ever played. Utter crap. So lifeless, so pointless, so utterly devoid of emotion. Just mechanical "look at my chops" jive-ass bullshit.

I'd say "for shame Chick", but Chick proved long ago he's devoid of shame. Part of Scientology is never being ashamed, even when you should be - as Chick should be here.

@gretschjazzer oh for fucks sake lighten up, chops are fun! so is bad hair, pastel coloured suits, jackets worn over vests, and stone washed jeans (worn turned up at the ends with white socks and black velvet loafers), but all of this has more to do with LA in the 80s than it has Scientology; though the latter is even sillier. Chick was unapologetically making noodely fusion for the masses, how else could he pay for the OT levels?

Not the best Corea/E band I've ever heard, but sometimes, your audience just wnats to hear the skills of the payers, and not be bothered with the intricacies of the musice being played!

I would not have wanted to have spent my money for this, but even if I had, it would have still been cool to see these guys on the stage lighting it up!

@gretschjazzer Do I sense a bit of tall poppy syndrome? I think you underestimate the sophisticated nature of this music. You try and get the musicians together, rehearse and play something like this live. It's not easy.

I think you've missed the point - music isn't there to please everyone and if you don't like it that's ok. But but there is no need to insult the people who made it, and the people who enjoy listening to it.

Music musn't always have "soul" and "feeling". Music is universal, and as such may (and should) contain whatever the artist wants to transmit. If it's feeling, if it's technical skills, if it's repulse and disgust, that's not what defines music as good or bad, stop being such idiots. There's nothing wrong with songs that are 100% technique. There's something wrong if the -artist- is 100% technique.
