Discovery Cove in Orlando is without a doubt the best park in Florida. If you have not visited here, swam with the dolphins and sting rays, and watched your children kiss a dolphin, then you did not experience everything Florida has to offer. Our dolphin's name was Dixie and she was amazing.

  • You missed the point... swimming with wild Dolphins poses no respiratory threat but with captive Dolphins they're subjected to swimming in their own chlorinated filth, for example over 50% of all captive Orca deaths are from respiratory bacterial infections. Horns and Stingers are natural defenses but bacterial problems are clearly not.

  • Nahhh...I got your point dude. I was just utilizing sarcasm as my defense.

  • Respiratory diseases were also reported in nearly a fifth

of marine mammal workers, including diseases such as

TB. Exposure to marine mammals can

involve a health risk to people working with the animals,

but it can also threaten the health of the public. In an internationally distributed survey of people who

come into contact with marine mammals (primarily

those who work with these animals), 23 % of

respondents reported contracting a skin rash or similar

ailment. Naomi A. Rose PhD -2006

  • Thanks for the health alert....I've also heard that bee keepers have higher incidents of bee stings, that people who play with bulls some times get the horns and that some times when you lay down with dogs you wake up with fleas.....I still love my dog though....

  • im going there this mothers!!!! day i don`t like this song horribal bla

  • Have fun....then you can choose your own tune....

  • My group had three dolphins, one was a baby in training named Yushi the other two were Coral and Capricorn. Discovery Cove was beautiful, the stingrays and snorkeling was my favorite part. I enjoyed the dolphin swimming by Vallarta Adventures in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico much more though. It was cheaper, a better experience, and for a little bit more money you can do a sea lion swim which was the coolest thing ever!

  • I was there a year ago, my dolphin was called Kayleigh.

  • I sawn with the dolphins (have a look at my video's)
