American Machine and Foundry (AMF) was a main participant in the slot car racing craze that swept across the USA in the mid-1960s. Huge eight-lane slot racing tracks, with fancy names like King, Monarch, Royal, Imperial and Sovereign, were the hot ticket to fame and fortune. The Blue King track (shown in this movie) became a true classic and its characteristic shape has dominated the slot car scene ever since.
