Et in Spiritum Sabctum MUST be sang by a bass not by these kind of tenors/baritones...it's a blasphemy...

@popraprockfreak1 I changed my mind. According to the Scriptures, is better translation. Vale!

@TheSecretHarp Recte dices! Traduttori - traditori! (using modern latin)
-
@popraprockfreak1 IMHO it is. I don't know how should it be.

@popraprockfreak1 Disce puer latinae! Git Schabbos!

@popraprockfreak1 Just one more reason to celebrate the mass in it's original form! You miss so much after the translation!

Doesn't "Et resurexit tertia die, secundum Scripturas" Mean "And he resurrected at the third day IN ACCORDANCE WITH the Scriptures" in stead of "- ACCORDING TO the Scriptures"?

@DeHeld8 No. "Secundus" is an adjective meaning "second," "following," or "according." It is in the neuter form "secundum" because it is modifying a statement about resurrecting. "Scripturas" is in the accusative, and one place in Latin where you see the accusative is "to ______." For instance, "I go to Rome" is "Romam eo." "In accordance with the Scriptures" would involve a noun in the ablative: "ex Scripturis."

@sobelmann Linguam latinam loquor. Tune linguam loqueris? Non iam linguam discere debeo. Mene derides?

OK, let's say old fasion mode: "After the Scripture". Discere, discere, semper, discere....

@sobelmann Is that what you think the translation should be?
